OLD EDWARDS HOSPITALITY GROUP LLC is Hiring a Sales and Catering Associate Near Highlands, NC

The Sales and Catering Associate displays a demeanor of calm control throughout any situation whether it is a guest with an immediate or unusual request, or any number of other spontaneous occurrences that happen in the hospitality business every day. Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform daily Weddings and Special Event Office operations. To include, collateral inventory and management, answering phone calls, greeting customers and support to the existing Wedding and Special Event Team
  • Field incoming wedding, corporate and social leads by collecting information and qualifying accounts.
  • Prepare and send proposals, estimates and on-line RFP’s
  • Arrange and conduct site tours with both market segments
  • Draft, negotiate and execute group room and event contracts, collect deposits and required signatures
  • Maintain multiple social and corporate accounts daily
  • Self-manage emails, voicemails and appointments with upcoming bookings
  • Plan, coordinate and detail logistics of upcoming events. Including but not limited to: travel/transportation, room assignments, activities, site and table diagrams, menu and bar selection, agenda and vendor coordination
  • Utilize Delphi and Delphi Diagrams to process accounts, bookings and meeting space requirements
  • Prepare banquet event orders for client approval and interdepartmental communication
  • Attend and conduct weekly Banquet Event Order Meeting with banquet team
  • On-site event coverage. Responsible for executing banquet event orders, managing vendors, directing guests and acting as a liaison between client and Old Edwards Inn
  • Anticipating and solving possible issues, conflicts and client concerns
  • Assisting the Banquet Manager in directing staff and final touches
  • Oversee master account bills, insure correct charges, collect payment and close accounts
  • Prepare monthly revenue report
  • High school diploma/ G.E.D required, 4 year degree preferred
  • One year experience in catering sales or services preferred
  • Two years hospitality experience required
  • Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
  • Capable of working independently and taking initiative
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook )
  • Familiarity with IDPMS, Delphi and MICROSOFT systems preferred
