The Engineering Manager will support the Director of Facilities in the management of the Department while at the same time remaining an integral working part of the Engineering Department with daily maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform all essential functions of Engineering.
• Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas.
• Document all parts used, and parts needed to be purchased.
• Report any unsafe conditions to the Chief Engineer
• Maintain all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition.
• Inspect all public areas daily for potential issues.
• Participate in the hotel fire brigade.
• Maintain department inventory.

• Experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry or building maintenance
• Must have basic knowledge of building mechanical systems and controls, energy management and building maintenance skills
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply commons sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
