Primary Objective
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for safely coordinating shipments of Sodium Percarbonate by rail, truck and containers while ensuring DOT and IMDG requirements are met. The position is responsible for expediting and coordinating flow of work to meet customer demand. This position is also a back-up for the warehouse receiving and materials handling in the Supply Chain team.
Essential Functions
Ø Receive and enter customer orders in NetSuite
Ø Determine customer requirements and expectations
Ø Schedule OCI arranged truck pickups with the freight Broker, Export shipments to include preparing and sending Export paperwork, and releasing Export orders in NetSuite after the container is loaded on the ship.
Ø Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
Ø Generate daily production batches, and post final product lots into NetSuite.
Ø Generate shipping documents in NetSuite, using final product lots to fulfill customer orders.
Ø Available by phone in the evenings and on the weekends when necessary.
Ø Understand the receiving and inventory process to back up the warehouse functions.
Ø Complete other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Supervisor.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
o Must be able to climb 5-10 flights of stairs multiple times
o Must be able to climb ladders (multiple rungs) both fixed and portable.
o Must be able to sustain overhead reaching, bending, squatting, twisting.
o Must be able to sustain continuous sitting and standing
o Must be able to lift ~50 lb., pull, and push tools/equipment with ease.
o Must be able to work in outside elements (Heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
o Must be able to walk without assistance on various work surfaces (gravel, concrete, asphalt, grating, dirt)
o Must be able to verbally communicate via radio
o Must be able to wear appropriate PPE (hard hat, eye protection, face shield, hearing protection, gloves, chemical suits, steel toed shoes, fall arrest).
