Ocean Breeze Inn is Hiring a Front Office Manager/Assistant General Manager Near Vero Beach, FL

Position Title: FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

Acts as hotel Manager on Duty. Assists with payroll and scheduling. Oversees various departments. Handles and resolves all guest complaints. Manages staff, purchasing, and guest relations. Supervise all front desk and guest services, in order to maintain company and brand standards, and to maintain the highest level of courteous, professional and efficient service to all guests and team members.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years Hospitality experience
  • 1-3 years management experience, Hospitality preferable
  • Must have flexible schedule; available nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • ADMINISTRATIVE
  • Job Description:
  • Thorough knowledge of all front desk and guest services department operations and individual job requirements.
  • Check in/out guests
  • Run pre-arrival reports, Create room assignments, Resolve IHG Rewards issues.
  • Interview and assist General Manager in making hiring decisions.
  • Create weekly schedules for front desk staff. With General Manager, monitor training required of front desk staff.
  • Monitor host performance and encourage improvement.
  • Carry out all reasonable requests of guests which you are capable of performing.
  • Ensure effective departmental communication and information systems through logs, department meetings, and resort meetings.
  • Read correspondence, and direct staff according to information obtained from other departments.
  • TEAM RELATIONS
  • Create and nurture a resort environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork and a passion for providing service.
  • Be readily available & approachable for all team members.
  • Understand team members ever changing needs and expectations, and exceed them.
  • Take proactive approaches when dealing with team members concerns.
  • Extend professionalism and courtesy to team members at all times.
  • Celebrate and foster decisions that result in successes as well as failures.
  • TEAM DEVELOPMENT
  • Develop cross-training opportunities throughout the hotel and within company.
  • Assist team in understanding GSS/Rewards results, developing game plans to attack need are
  • Conduct one-on-ones with team members.
  • Provide service training on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure orientations for new team members are thorough and completed in a timely fashion.
  • Know hotel emergency plan; train, and implementation.
  • GUEST RELATIONS
  • Be readily available/ approachable for all guests.
  • Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns. Follow property specific second effort and recovery plan.
  • Ensure staffing levels allow team members to exceed guest needs.
