Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform minor maintenance activities using hand tools
• Replace air-conditioner filters and notify management of major repairs
• Respond to guest requests for service and maintain clean and safe areas
• Maintain equipment with preventative maintenance procedures
• Keep records of equipment maintenance and repair
• Program HVAC controller according to facility schedule
• Maintain quality of appearance of interior and exterior of the facility
• Paint walls, trim, and doors and repair wallpaper, carpet, and doors
• Keep inventory of finishing supplies needed in the facility
• Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies
• Inspect and repair minor problems in common areas
• Learn emergency procedures and ensure safe operation of equipment
• Know and comply with all company policies and procedures

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
• Ability to motivate team members and maintain tact and diplomacy
• Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities
• Sound knowledge of all aspects of the facility and services offered
• Comfortable with high visibility and leadership roles

Education & Experience:

• Certificate from a Vocational Institution and completion of apprenticeship in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repair preferred
• Current Driver’s License required

Hours:

• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
• Physical activities include climbing, stooping, standing, walking, etc.

Work Environment:

• Inside and outside work environment with exposure to hazards
• Occasional work in close quarters or small enclosed rooms
