****About the Role****

The Delivery Service Team builds products and systems to enable autonomous bot deliveries. Our goal is to build a beloved local delivery service for our partners and consumers using Nuro bots, by providing a magical user experience and operating at maximal efficiency.

As the Tech Lead Manager of Delivery Service, youll be leading a world-class engineering team at the frontline building and scaling Nuros core product. Youll be in charge of crafting amazing user experiences, building performant and scalable web applications and backend systems, and launch products that your users love. If you are an experienced technical leader with a knack for solving tough problems and is driven by technical excellence and customer delight, youll be right at home leading the Delivery Service team.

****About the Work****

* You will lead a team to build and own the full stack of Nuros self-driving delivery service, from end user experience, partner integration, to complex distributed backend system to power efficient planning, matching, and dispatching of vehicles to deliveries.

* You will be a gatekeeper for a high code quality bar, architectural designs, and pragmatic vs. long-term approaches.

* You will work with product, design, and business to design and build new, magical user experiences, and define our product strategy and roadmap. You will work with cross functional teams to resolve dependencies and prioritization with an eye towards common and shared deliverables.

* You will build and grow the team by attracting, hiring, and coaching world-class engineers.

****About you****

* You have 5 years of technical leadership and people management experience.

* You have built and launched user facing products, understand the technical and cross-functional challenges, and have demonstrated the ability to lead a team to tackle and navigate through all of those challenges.

* You have a wide-range of technical skills. You care deeply about technical excellence and developer productivity, and have experience maintaining and raising the technical bar for the team.

* You are a great communicator, and you regularly chat with PMs, UXRs, other engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders on product requirements and designs.

* You are impact-driven. You care deeply that your work makes a significant impact on the lives of millions of people.

* Shown ability to build, launch, and iterate quickly. Youve experienced product development in all of its stages -- from writing requirements to scoping to launch to iteration. You are especially comfortable in the earlier stages of product development -- in getting from zero to one.

* Product and business savvy. You like being involved in the why in addition to the how. Youre eager to understand and contribute to product and business requirements. You can look at a list of potential projects and identify which ones might make a substantial impact (and which ones wont).
