Basic Job Functions:

• Create an efficient cleaning routine to upkeep and maintain cleanliness of plant, restrooms, break room, office area
• Recommend facility improvements that help cleanliness, functionality, and overall better quality for teammates’ health and safety
• Finishing minor repairs
• Helping with facilities maintenance such as hanging things on walls, replacing light bulbs, etc.
• Collecting garbage and disposing of it properly
• Helping other departments with projects

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven commitment to safety
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
• Ability to work standing or walking for up to 10 hours per day
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes of priority and complete job tasks safely and effectively without constant supervision
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance utility experience, preferred.
