Basic Job Functions :

Nucor Warehouse Systems - Monroe is seeking applicants for Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will safely provide support to the Monroe team by :

• Being a leader in safety.
• Ensuring spare parts are identified and available.
• Grow the Preventive / Predictive Maintenance program.
• Serves as a technical expert for Maintenance Technicians and Operations.
• Proactively identify work to be performed in order to minimize downtime.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve equipment performance.
• Prepare jobs to be performed during schedule and unscheduled down time.
• Ensure work is executed with a high level of quality and workmanship.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Two-year technical degree and / or a minimum of 5 year's experience in industrial maintenance.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and off shifts.
• Must be able to develop LOTO procedures, train the team on our LOTO policy and practice.
• Must be able to demonstrate proper communication skills with all departments.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Mechanical and Electrical maintenance experience.
• Excellent knowledge of LOTOTO .
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Able to read and understand Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic drawings.
