nt4kids.org is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Specialist (PT) Near Oregon, OR

Neurotherapeutic Pediatric Therapies is looking for a part time reliable Facilities Specialist to help manage the ongoing maintenance needs of our 7 non-profit therapy clinics in the Portland Metro area. Clinics are located in Oregon City, Canby, McMinnville, Hillsboro, Clackamas, NE Portland and Wilsonville. This person is responsible for working with staff to identify maintenance requests, and then following through by completing basic maintenance tasks and upkeep or delegating larger projects to our tradesman.
This person should be a creative problem solver who is capable of conducting basic interior and exterior maintenance and repair tasks. They should be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks on the maintenance list. They should also have a high attention to detail, such that they can walk through a clinic or office space and identify items in need of repair.
This position is 15-20 hours per week with flexible hours and days. Some duties will need to be completed on the weekend or evening hours, when therapy is not in session.
Starting rate: $22/hour.
Job responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain office equipment.
  • Repair paint and drywall.
  • Assemble and/or move furniture.
  • Perform safety checks on equipment, advise on what can be repaired or needs to be replaced.
  • Deep Clean Facilities (ie shampoo carpets and furniture) - not responsible for weekly cleaning tasks performed by janitorial service.
  • Remove unwanted items and sell through e-commerce platform (like Offer up), donate, or discard.
  • Purchase needed items as approved by supervisor.
  • Assist other tradesman with repairs.
  • Identify and report any major repairs.
  • Track status of maintenance requests on shared spreadsheet.
  • Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks. (e.g. shovel snow or ice from walkways or clean gutters).
  • Communicate with management companies and building owners regarding repairs.
Job requirements:
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work on a ladder if needed, bend/crawl into tight spaces. Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to attend monthly meetings at clinic locations.
  • Be able to reliably travel between clinics in Clackamas, Multnomah, Washington, and Yamhill counties.
  • Have general repair knowledge.
  • Maintain a budget for supplies.
  • General computer skills (Gmail, google spreadsheets and social media platforms).
  • Must be able to work weekends and some evenings. Hours and days will vary depending on the task.
  • Work well independently, and as well as when assisting our tradesman.
  • Must have your own reliable vehicle, paid mileage between clinics
