nt4kids.org is Hiring a Remote Finance Manager (PT)

POSITION: Finance Manager.
REPORT TO: Executive Director.
TIME/STATUS: 25-30 hours (full time benefits at 30 hours).
LOCATION: Based in our Canby, Oregon office, but a portion of this job can also be done remotely if approved.
COMPENSATION: $38.00-42.00 DOE.
About Us:
​​Over the past 35 years, Neurotherapeutic Pediatric Therapies, Inc (“Neuro”) has grown from a small family-run occupational therapy clinic in Oregon City to a non-profit organization with 8 mutli-discipinary clinics across the state of Oregon. We serve families and children with special needs by offering occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, mental health therapy, and naturopathic medical care; together we provide more than 3000 client visits each month. Part of what drives our success and growth as an organization is our support of employees pursuing passion projects and professional goals, as well as our desire to creatively meet the ever changing needs of our community. Many employees, as well as client families, have chosen to be a part of our Neuro “family” for over a decade.
About the Role:
The Business Director collaborates with the Executive Director to develop and execute the annual financial plan, and advises on financial impacts of programmatic or personnel changes over time. This person also works closely with the Development Director to provide necessary financial support for grant and fundraising efforts.

Job responsibilities:
  • Work with ED on renegotiating insurance contracts and communicate new rate changes. 
  • Create the organizational budget with support from program Directors, and present the budget and annual hiring plan to the Board of Directors
  • Ensures adherence to financial and accounting laws, rules and best practices, including conformance to GAAP
  • Track client visits and analyze trends productivity to create projections for hiring and program expansion
  • Reviews and makes recommendations and guides the transition from a simple IRA to a 401k plan
  • Attend monthly finance committee meeting and present financial information
  • Review payroll and provide backup support when Payroll Specialist is unavailable
  • Monitor cash flow, review monthly expenses, and oversee all organizational expenses 
  • Create financial reports for Executive Director and Finance Committee
  • Assist Executive Director & Development Director with any financial information needed for grant applications and tracking. 
  • Attend the weekly Management Meeting and monthly Leadership meeting 
  • Assist with recruitment, hiring, and supervision of all employees in the billing, insurance, and finance departments.
  • Create monthly client visit and revenue projections 
  • Review staffing needs with ED to determine areas of over- or under-staffing as programs change or grow
  • Track Aging Reports, work with the billing department to establish goals
  • Provide year end reports as needed for taxes including program allocations, donations etc.
  • Provide an annual financial report to share with the public
  • Follows all financial policies currently in place, and works with other directors to draft additional policies as needed
  • Leads the financial audit bi-annually
  • Ensures all 941 forms are filed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates with the Executive Director and Board of Directors on capital projects

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
  • 2 years of experience in healthcare preferred
  • GAAP accounting for non-profits preferred
  • Proficiency with tech platforms including Google programs (docs, forms, calendar, etc), Zoom, and Microsoft Office
  • A pre-employment background check is required once a job offer has been made
  • You have an understanding of medical billing and insurance; knowledge of ICD-10 codes and CPT coding for OT/PT/ST, mental health therapy and alternative care preferred.
