NOV is Hiring a Data Analyst Near Houston, TX
Responsibilities
- Work with catalog & category managers to prioritize business and information needs, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and delivering actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
- Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Assist in developing and/or modifying current data tools for optimization and standardization across NOV.
- Utilize Excel, PowerBI and other software to analyze data
- Interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets with the use of graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data.
- Utilize the Oracle P2P tool to report activity and identify trends and cost saving opportunities.
- Consolidate and analyze RFQ/RFP data.
- Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.
- Evaluate the internal system for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, as well as developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education, Experience & Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics or Supply Chain.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to rapidly learn other analytical tools.
- Proficient PowerBI skills.
- Experience with SQL, R, Python a plus.
- Self-motivated and results oriented with the ability to set and meet deadlines
- Ability to problem solve and identify areas for improvement.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
