Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies. This is a vital role within our organization, as you will play a key part in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time.

Duties:

- Process payroll for employees on a regular basis, including calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, terminations, and changes to employee information

- Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements

- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed

- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors

- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data and proper handling of benefits deductions

- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and tax laws

- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role. ADP Workforce Now knowledge preferred.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts

- Proficient in using payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Excel

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong analytical skills to analyze data and identify discrepancies

- Knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll processing

- Familiarity with journal entries and debits/credits concepts

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay: $21.00 - $22.91 per hour
