Position: Therapist

Reports to: VP of Family Cares

Compensation: $60,000 to $75,000

Status: Full-time, salaried position, exempt

Location: Chicago, IL

Description

• Meet with school-aged children and their families, providing trauma-informed, strength-based clinical interventions targeting individualized, collaboratively developed treatment plan goals. Services provided at the agency office.
• Coordinate services with other relevant providers and develop appropriate referral plans.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation, including assessment, service notes, and other Medicaid-required service documentation, using web-based client services platforms.

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field required
• Illinois clinical license (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) valued
• Experience with an evidence-based or evidence-informed treatment modality, such as Theraplay, the ARC framework, or other trauma-informed practice preferred
• Skilled at communicating both verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish
• Comfortable providing telehealth services as needed
• Ability to be intuitive, nonjudgmental listener who easily builds relationships built on respect, trust and positive regard
• Must be warm, flexible, and hold a strong belief that generational trauma can be healed through counseling
• Detail-driven, highly organized, and enjoy working autonomously but are also excited by big-picture outcomes and the opportunity to innovate and collaborate with a team to reach shared goals
• Ability to look for reflective, clinical supervision and opportunities for growth and training in your field
