POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an initiative-driven, detail-oriented individual to be an integral member of a team that supports a fast-paced financial advisor in the Sarasota, FL area. The Executive Assistant/Operations Associate plays an integral role on a Financial Advisor’s team. The Operations Associate serves as the authority on ensuring all stages of the insurance process are managed in a timely, detailed and confidential manner.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Manage all client communication and client service pertaining to insurance

▪ Administrative task assistance, including making and confirming appointments, record-keeping, pre-filling insurance applications, and other arrangements as needed

▪ Collect any outstanding reporting documents

▪ Handling delivery of policies

▪ Oversee social media and marketing for the advisor and manage other business development opportunities

▪ Create referral lists, call potential clients, and maintain client referral log

▪ Manage key client touchpoints such as birthdays, anniversaries, policy change dates, and policy reviews

▪ Oversee underwriting process and ensure all stages of the insurance process are managed in a timely, detailed, and confidential manner. Some responsibilities include:

  • Collect outstanding documents including pay stubs, underwriting history, medical history, and medical records
  • Schedule medical exams
  • Prepare and submit appropriate applications and follow-up with underwriter
  • Manage all client communication and client service pertaining to insurance

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

▪ Bachelor’s Degree

▪ Florida Life & Health License (2-15), or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

▪ Financial services and/or insurance industry experience

▪ Prior Financial Advisor support experience

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

▪ Benefits include subsidized health insurance, PTO, license/credential sponsorship and reimbursement

As part of the Northwestern Mutual hiring process, verification of a candidate's background will be required, which includes Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint submission for review against nationwide fingerprint records.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
