Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Purchasing Assistant. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our purchasing department by assisting with inventory control, supply chain management, and sourcing of materials.

Duties:
- Assist with the procurement of materials and supplies needed for production
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- Process purchase orders and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Utilize software systems for purchasing activities
- Support the purchasing manager in various administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in purchasing/sourcing in a manufacturing environment required
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams
- Experienced Microsoft Office user, with proficiency in Excel
- AAS/BS in related field preferred
- ERP experience preferred
