Overview:
Under general supervision, the Help Desk Technician will provide first-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications and hardware. This individual will address tickets based on arrival and priority level. They will create tickets for issues that are called in, emailed, direct messaged and/or presented in person. The Help Desk Technician will interact with the IT Clinical Operations Specialist, System Administrator and Director as necessary, to restore service and/or identify and correct problems. This individual may simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties. They will recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems. The Help Desk Technician will maintain currency and high level of technical skill in field of expertise. This individual will escalate more complex problems to the IT Clinical Operations Specialist, System Administrator and Director.
