North Shore Pediatric Therapy is Hiring a Remote Mental Health Therapist (LCSW or LCPC), Remote

At North Shore Pediatric Therapy, we are looking for a Pediatric Mental Health Therapist (LCSW or LCPC) to join our team. This position will provide telehealth services and is work-from-home, but you must have a license in good standing in the state of Illinois. As most of our clients are school-aged children, we are looking for someone with after-school and evening availability and/or Saturday availability. Minimum of 6 hours per week.

Your role as a Mental Health Therapist:

Our interdisciplinary approach means that you will collaborate with other Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Practitioners, Physical Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and Neuropsychologists. As a member of our team, you will:

  • Complete screenings, provide written assessment and ongoing reports throughout the course of treatment for pediatric clients, some screenings may happen outside of template hours
  • Make appropriate cross referrals to other disciplines as needed
  • Interpret medical reports and write appropriate treatment plans and formulate functional goals
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and advocate for client and family, as needed
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, such as doctors, teachers, and pediatric therapists, to ensure our clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care
  • Clearly explain behavior function, intervention, and treatment strategies to families

  • Required to sit, stand, bend and walk regularly; lift and/or move up to 45lbs pounds.
  • Visual and auditory ability enough for written and verbal communication.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
