Lincoln Park Therapy Group is a boutique private practice in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Ravenswood and Wicker Park neighborhoods. Our practice works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and to attain the personal growth they are seeking. This is accomplished by adhering to our practice’s central values: compassion, empathy, and courage. We work with teens, emerging adults, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds who experience a wide range of anxiety and depressive disorders. Our areas of expertise include treating anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Our therapists have specialized training to treat relationship issues, life transitions, post-traumatic stress disorder, difficulties in emotion regulation, and addiction.

We are looking for a full time therapist (minimum of 25 completed sessions per week) who is enthusiastic, easy to connect with, adaptable, and professional to join our fun, dynamic and collaborative group practice in our Lincoln Park and Lakeview offices. We are looking for a therapist who is passionate about doing long-term work with their clients! Requirements include being licensed (provisionally licensed or in process of applying for provisional license is acceptable) in the State of Illinois, preferably with private practice experience.

LPTG values work-life balance and offers flexible scheduling for its therapists. Therapists will have a caseload of 25 completed clinical sessions per week. This position is a combination of in person work and remote work if desired.

Our ideal candidate has experience working with individuals in 1:1 traditional sessions, have utilized clinical interventions and diagnostic skills in their current or previous work experience, and have an interest in learning and growing. Candidates must be license eligible or hold a license in the state of Illinois. LPTG serves a diverse population, including women and men of all ages, BIPOC, LGBTQ , couples, and teens. Our ideal candidate is experienced in working with adults, and may also have additional expertise working with a specific demographic or modality (but not necessary).

Candidates who are independent, driven, collaborative, organized, detail oriented, and able to enhance our positive-minded group of clinicians will be most successful at LPTG. We value connection and collaboration, and host team get-togethers to build community in our practice. However, LPTG is sensitive to the needs and comfort of its clinicians and these get-togethers are optional and are not required.

Lincoln Park Therapy Group provides a steady stream of referrals to each therapist. Typically our clinicians are at full time status in an average of 2 months depending on availability. Candidate will be employee status. Compensation is fee per client based, and paid out monthly. This position is a hybrid of in person work and remote work (if desired) and for the right candidate, more permanent remote work may be considered.

Requirements are:

• Current State of Illinois license as a LSW, LPC or License Eligible Post Grad
• Willing to work a mix of daytime and evening shifts
• Caseloads will start small, with the opportunity to grow into full-time
• Prior private practice experience is a plus but not required
• The expectation is that you’d immediately be able to block out a minimum of 12-14 hours per week for at least two shifts at Lincoln Park Therapy Group
• Good computer skills–we use Google Docs, TherapyNotes, & phone.com voicemail app
• Organized, professional, conscientious, timely and responsible.

Responsibilities are:

• Provide individual psychotherapy
• Complete electronic notes, current treatment plans
• Formulate DSM 5 diagnoses
• Schedule & re-schedule clients for ongoing psychotherapy sessions with you
• With support from clinical team, manage client’s emergencies if/as they arise
• Consult with other providers, psychiatrists and family members when appropriate
• Continue to learn and grow to remain competent in serving the practice’s demographic and your caseload’s unique challenges
• General tidiness of the office you are using and the common areas
