Job Title: Medical Receptionist
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
