North Alabama Medical Center serves as a regional facility with more than 200 physicians on staff who represent more than 42 specialty areas of medicine. The 263 bed Joint-Commission accredited facility offers the community’s only open heart surgery site, a complete line of women’s and children’s services and a complete line of medical and imaging services. North Alabama Medical Center is a Certified Chest Pain center with a team of cardiologists available 24/7 and is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center of Excellence by the American Heart/American Stroke Association. North Alabama Medical Center’s 24-hour emergency department serves as the primary referral center for major trauma cases in Northwest Alabama.

North Alabama Shoals Hospital is Joint Commission accredited, is a Blue Cross/Blue Shield Tier 2 Hospital, and has received a Blue Distinguished award in hip and knee replacements. This facility employs over 300 individuals and has more than 100 physicians on staff.

Along with North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama, Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Alabama is an affiliate of LifePoint Health and is committed to delivering high-quality and compassionate care with a focus on patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
  • Manage the payroll function for the hospitals.
  • Manage the general ledger, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Manage the bank reconciliation process.
  • Manage the preparation of reports to meet government requirements.
  • Create financial forecasts.
  • File federal income tax returns.
  • Prepare budgets.
  • Oversee insurance policies.

Education:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting courses (BS, BA, BBA) or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Requires four to six years of relevant work experience.
