NMC CAT is Hiring a Project Manager Near Omaha, NE

NMC CAT is looking for a Project Manager for the Engine Division to manage the project life cycle for generator set installations. The Project Manager is responsible for launching major projects on time per the customer’s project timing, expectations and within the prescribed financial parameters. The role will interface will all essential touchpoints including all customer personnel, sales staff, engineers, contractors, facility managers, operations, and internal support staff.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

  • Direct, manage and execute project development from beginning to end to include day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Accurately estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Determine and assess needs for additional staff including shop labor and/or consultants and/or subcontractors.
  • Act as a liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS

  • Utilize all equipment and tools for its intended purpose as per manufacturers design in a safe manner
  • Attend and participate in safety meetings and related functions
  • Practice good housekeeping practices at all times and report safety issues immediately to Direct Manager
  • Be aware of all emergency action plan procedures for your assigned work location and be prepared to act accordingly in the event of an emergency
  • Participate in and complete all required safety trainings within the time frame allotted
