NM LAW, APC is Hiring a Paralegal Near Tustin, CA

Seeking an outgoing and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal with at least 3 years of recent work experience in Litigation, with at least one year of trust and probate litigation exposure preferred. A demonstrated commitment to the field of law and a desire to be a part of a team is essential for any person applying for this position.

Compensation:

$27 - $36 hourly

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

  • Manage case calendar and support Litigation attorneys
  • Prepare correspondence
  • Proficient in e-filing
  • Draft, format, edit, and proofread legal documents with attention to detail such as pleadings, motions, and discovery request
  • Electronic file organization and maintenance within Firm standards
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases. Interview clients and witnesses to gather information and prepare case summaries
  • Assist with trial preparation, including drafting trial exhibits and witness lists
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, such as court reporters and expert witnesses
  • Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Perform general clerical tasks, such as answering phones, photocopying, scanning, and filing
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent Paralegal experience, preferably in Litigation
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Adobe is required
  • Strong organizational skills are essential, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and maintain accuracy
  • Self-motivated individual who can work well independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills are necessary
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact with attorneys, staff, and clients professionally and confidentially
  • Exceptional grammar, proofreading, and writing abilities are a must
  • Enthusiastic, articulate, quick learner, reliable, punctual, team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with MyCase and Wealth Counsel, as well as a notary license, are advantageous
