Job Description:
The Food Service Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service operations in a facility. This includes managing staff, ensuring food safety and quality, creating menus, ordering supplies, and maintaining budgets. The Food Service Director must also ensure that all food service operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage food service staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Create menus that meet the nutritional needs of customers and comply with dietary restrictions
- Order food and supplies, and maintain inventory levels
- Ensure food safety and quality by monitoring food preparation and storage
- Maintain budgets and financial records
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for food service operations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in food service management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food service management
