Position Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Reports To: Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Job Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Work Location: Onsite at Ventura office, Hybrid possible in future

Pay: $21-22 per hour

Position Overview:

Are you a stickler for details? Do you want an opportunity to apply your critical thinking skills to new challenges? Do you also enjoy mundane data entry? Then you are who we are looking for! We need an Accounts Payable Clerk who is skilled in managing the day-to-day accounts payable transactions while maintaining positive relationships with vendors and colleagues. The A/P Clerk needs to be comfortable working within a cloud-based ERP system. Maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring timeliness and adherence to company policies and accounting principles will be crucial in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting and processing vendor bills, freight invoices, and employee expense reimbursements for accuracy and approvals,
• entering bills, credit card transactions, and employee expense reimbursements into ERP system,
• matching invoices to purchase orders,
• ensuring timely and accurate payments,
• recording expenses in correct general ledger accounts and cost centers,
• chasing after expense receipts,
• resolving vendor/bill discrepancies and issues,
• processing credits and rebills associated with vendor returns,
• setting up new vendors and tracking W-9’s,
• assisting the accounting team with other duties, including covering Office Assistant/Accounts Receivable’s duties during absences.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required, Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable preferred, ideally in a corporate environment and/or at a manufacturing business.
• Accounting software experience required (QuickBooks, etc.), Cetec ERP or other ERP system experience preferred.
• Microsoft 365 Business (especially Microsoft Teams and Excel) experience a plus.
• Ability to meet deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
• Cleared background check required.

Physical Demands

• Screentime up to 7.5 hours a day

• Stand/Sit/Walk 7.5 hrs a day

• Dexterity required.

• Vision requirements correctable to 20/20 vision

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
