About the Role:

Responsible for developing reporting and analytics for Neurocrine's HR data. As the subject matter expert for reporting, this role will execute the Human Resources (HR) analytical strategy across the department by collaborating with key stakeholders to develop reporting, KPIs, and dashboards to extract actionable insights and metrics to drive people and company performance. Foster a data culture that promotes governance and stewardship, data-driven decision making, and analytical thinking through training and collaboration with HR and other key stakeholders.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Execute the HR analytical strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives

  • Collaborate with HRIS, IT, and Legal to establish and maintain data governance processes and standards to ensure data integrity and security in Workday

  • Lead Prism strategy by implementing current use-cases and add new solutions based on business and/or HR objectives

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for HR reporting, providing guidance to HR team and implementing best practices

  • Lead collaborative efforts with client groups to define data/report requirements, design, develop and deliver reports

  • Design and implement dashboards and reports using data visualization tools such as Workday report writer, Discovery Boards, Prism, BIRT, and/or Power BI to facilitate data-driven decision-making

  • Develop complex reporting through composite and matrix reports, calculated field, report groups and report drilling

  • Organize and manage custom reports in Workday to minimize ad-hoc requests and to ensure consistency in naming, descriptions, and tagging

  • Provide training and guidance to end users to support self-service reporting and data literacy

  • Partner closely with HR Operations to identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement through data analysis

  • Responsible for annual compliance reporting requirements: Pay Data Reporting, VETS, EEO, AAP, etc

  • Examine emerging trends and innovations in data analytics and reporting and recommend strategic initiatives to drive organizational success

  • Support Workday's biannual releases through impact analysis to changes to Workday's data model and create reports and dashboards to aid in identification of populations for release testing

  • Review effectiveness of reporting solutions and update as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree and 4 years of advanced Workday reporting, data/analytic; and visualization including calculated fields and dashboard

  • Knowledge of HR processes, procedures and systems, with an ability to translate requirements into effective reporting solutions

  • Expertise with Workday report writer suite, including matrix and composite reporting

  • Expertise with data visualization tools such as Prism Analytics, discover boards, Power BI, and/or similar platforms

  • Knowledge of Workday security in relation to reporting

  • Proficiency in SQL or other querying languages

  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex findings to diverse audiences

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in large data sets

  • Strong understanding of data analytics concepts and data visualization principles

  • Strong project management, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to balance being detail-oriented (ex. data audits) with thinking strategically about goals/needs required

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $93,200.00-$135,275.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
