Network Designs is Hiring a Project Manager (Architecture & Quality Control) #1132895 Near Washington, DC

Job Description:

The Project Manager will provide direct PM support to one or more teams of agile software development, business intelligence and business analysis. The individual will combine their expertise in project management, Agile SDLC, data modeling, and requirements analysis to support teams producing dashboards and reports, automated tests, and enterprise software services. The Project Manager provides leadership, assures quality deliverables and makes technically sound recommendations based on industry best practices and management fundamentals. The Project Manager will be a key stakeholder in all facets of the sprint cycles and provide expected documentation and tracking items including schedules, sprint plans, backlogs, risk impact analysis and analysis of alternatives.

Requirement:

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • This position is hybrid (on-site/remote). Candidate will be required to work on-site at minimum, three days a week.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science, Computer Science or related field.
  • 7 years' of experience.
  • The candidate must have or is willing to complete a PMP certificate of the Project Management Institute's (PMI) principles and proficient in using best practices for Project Management.
  • The candidate should be knowledgeable of business management and organizational theory, have experience leading teams, resource planning, Work Breakdown Structures, and process improvements using the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) for IT Systems.
  • They must be proficient in using current management techniques and tools such as Microsoft Project for Planning and Scheduling Work packages, and budgeting tools.
  • The candidate must have experience in the Agile methodology and related management tools for Agile development operations (Azure DevOps - ADO).
  • This candidate must have excellent communication skills, positive motivation, and team building and leadership development

Key Activities/Responsibilities:

  • The PM will be responsible for managing and directing teams of developers, architects, business analysts, and testers, assessing opportunities for growth within the team and scope of the contracted work.
  • They will be responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
  • The PM will take projects from original concept through final implementation, interfacing with all areas affected by the project including end users, business stakeholders, client services.
  • The PM will work with government Product Owners to define project scope and objectives; and develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • The PM will conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • They will ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables.
  • They will provide technical and analytical support to the project teams. Additional education, training and/or certifications are required.
