Neighbors Heating and Cooling is looking for an HVAC technician to join our team. We are a locally owned business that has been serving central Iowa since 1986.

Pay: $25 DOE

Experience:

Qualified candidates should have:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Journeyman HVAC license or 4 years' experience with ability to become licensed within 2 years.

Must be able to:

• Perform thorough maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on all ages of equipment (furnace, air conditioners, boilers, heat pumps, geothermal units, mini split systems, and rooftop units)
• Accurately diagnose system issues and recognize potential breakdown issues before they happen.
• Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Work in all conditions, including in tight spaces (crawl spaces), or be on a ladder. Work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, and wet or humid conditions.
• Keep accurate notes and records. Properly complete all paperwork
• Keep company vehicles and equipment clean and in good working order.
• Respond to service calls and after hours calls promptly.
• Collect payment or payment information from customers for work performed.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with the customers in their home.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. most days. Seasonal overtime is expected during temperature events.

On-call rotation schedule with some evenings and weekends as necessary. Call rotates daily during the week and averages 1 weekend per month.
