Summary
ND streetBAR in Eastbridge, CO keeps the good vibes going daily from lunch to happy hour, to dinner and into late-night. Saturdays and Sundays are for Brunch Drunk Wknds, where the drinks are flowing, and the food is tasty AF. The Prep Cook is responsible for assisting in the preparation of excellent meals from scratch as well as assisting with other back of house duties. Our Prep Cooks support the team and help to create and maintain an exciting, inviting and progressive environment. This person should be a high-energy and positive individual who will help foster connections with friends, family and the community through service, food and drink. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, eager to learn and adaptable. We offer a unique, fun environment with the opportunity to grow within the company.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of all meals for the restaurant.
  • Properly measure ingredients and assemble them in accordance to chef’s specifications. Use proper measurement tools to ensure accuracy and proper execution of all recipes.
  • Wash, peel and prepare raw food products.
  • Cut and portion different types of meat.
  • Portion the food and prepare dishes and ingredients for plating.
  • Ensure leftover food is stored properly.
  • Work closely with all Line Cooks and Dishwashers throughout the course of the shift and provide support as needed.
  • Test the temperature of foods at specified intervals.
  • Clean, organize and maintain refrigerators, coolers and dry storage areas. Restock items as needed. Keep track of ingredient quantities and ensure there are always enough.
  • Understand and comply with food safety and temperature standards.
  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards; must maintain company’s safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
  • Open and close the restaurant and perform related work as requested.
  • Ability to perform objectives in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on quality while always maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers.
  • Promote and embrace the restaurant’s community and culture by demonstrating respect, positive energy, dependability, honesty, initiative, an outgoing nature and a pleasant demeanor. Must maintain a professional appearance at all times which includes but is not limited to complying with all Health Department regulations as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Must possess solid knowledge of the restaurant food industry and be able to take instruction well.
  • One year of experience or comparable. Desire to expand restaurant knowledge.
  • Superior temperament, adaptable nature and good communication skills.
  • Demonstrate integrity in all areas, both personal and professional.
  • Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly.
  • May be required to work in very warm or cold conditions for an extended period of time.
  • The ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level.
  • Working with hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment as well as operating office equipment.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 45 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Operation of any high-pressure steam boiler or high temperature water boiler.
