The Executive Director – Restaurant Partnership Program is responsible for overseeing key Restaurant business relationships and partnerships for the organization. This person with their team will identify, explore and create direct sales, co-sell, resell, or referral opportunities with 3rd parties that have a clear alignment to our GTM product strategy. Position Summary Reporting directly to the Vice President – Platform, this person works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the organization. You’ll maintain intimate knowledge of our product strategy to help scope and right-size partnerships. This role will work closely with marketing on developing sales/marketing campaigns, as well as stakeholders in our product management, engineering, sales, support and professional services organizations. Complementary to the Partnership Program is the Integration Program which helps customers enable their own partners onto the NCR Commerce Platform. You and your team will own governance for the Integration Program. Key Responsibilities Primary responsibility is driving our partnerships to the most optimal level, per the business and product strategy, in the shortest amount of time with the team. Engage, build, and cultivate relationships with emerging and established companies Your team will negotiate partnership contract terms through to signing, considering commercial terms and implementation requirements. For key or complex partnerships, you will drive and negotiate a multi-year contract. Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations Monitor the competitive landscape, including regional and national players Forecast financial impact due to these partnerships. Develop sensible yet ambitious forward looking growth plans with Partner Managers and Product Managers. Provides guidance for each partner strategy for selling channels including co-sell, resell, cross-sell, or referral programs Work with senior management to develop region/area/ country strategy Your team will assess partnership performance and create actionable insights to manage opportunities and determine actions. For key strategic customer accounts, you will be involved with Product Management to assess their partnerships and our abilities/opportunities to support across the organization. Defines and deploys a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement by leveraging select partnerships Works closely with Product Management to optimize the effectiveness of overall technology investments such as technical integrations with key partner companies Over time, works with senior product Leaders to forecast commercial impact of strategic partnerships Required Qualifications Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field and/or experience 4-6 years of previous partnerships/partner relations for a SaaS technology firm preferred. Demonstrated experience collaborating with customers and partners enabling them to experience greater business value from our company. Relationship building and exhibit of sound business judgement with established strategic/conceptual thinking and strategic planning skills. Background in SaaS and Application Software: an understanding how products, tools and solutions work. You understand how solutions function and why, sometimes, they don’t. Exceptional project management and organizational skills are essential alongside strong problem solving and analytical skills. Problem-solving disposition, with a constant desire to improve and achieve higher grounds Strong executive presence and communication skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including establishing credibility and trust with partners and building influential relationships with the stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Sales Ops, HR, Support Services, Marketing and Professional Services Strong leadership skills and ability to work both autonomously and as a team player Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion, on time and in an expedited manner and with high energy Contract review and negotiation Preferred Qualifications Sales “DNA”- Process oriented but still knows how to sell. Ideally has carried a quota at some time in his/her career and/or managed a team of inside sales reps Background or some experience in Hospitality Product management experience Travel throughout the U.S. is required and is expected to be up to 15% for customer and partner visits, conference, and training. Participation in GHQ workshops, corporate events, customer meetings, and more is expected from time to time.
