Position Summary: NAVEX is looking for a Director of User Experience to lead our design and research functions. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for ensuring the products we build at NAVEX delight our users and create maximum value for our customers. You’ll be the champion of the customer, creating systems and processes that ensure their voice is a valuable input throughout our product development processes. You and your team will deliver intuitive designs and prototypes that improve our customers’ experiences. You’ll work with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and external stakeholders to drive usability and end-user satisfaction, reporting directly to the Vice President of Product Management. As the UX Director you will change the way organizations work around the world by being an integral part of the teams developing leading product solutions for corporate risk and compliance programs. The UX Director is a skilled change maker who is not afraid to think big and challenge status quo. As the leader of the user experience team, you will be responsible for connecting the dots between business needs, user needs and good design. This role requires awareness and oversight of all facets of the design process. Prior experience leading a UX team on SaaS platform product UX work and ability to integrate multiple products into a unified customer experience across the platform is required. Competitive and transparent pay practices, wellbeing programs and benefits with choice What You Will Do: Collaborate with UX team and stakeholders to develop an overall vision for UX excellence and accessible, modern and consistent design across all product areas and platform Lead and shape the company’s user experience strategy Drive the design team’s work by listening to customers and collaborating with team members across different departments including marketing, sales, customer success, technology and other internal stakeholders Research and analyze industry UX trends, applying innovations to optimize workflows for consistent UI across the platform Mentor your team on design principles and the importance of user-centered design What You Will Need: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Computer Interaction, Digital Media Design, Graphic Design or related field 10 years of professional experience, ideally in an enterprise SaaS platform product company and/or related work on integrating multiple products into a single consistent UX for the customer Excellent visual, interaction & UX strategy skills with a particular focus on SaaS products Confidence in using common product design/development tools like Figma, Jira, Aha A strong desire to collaborate cross-functionally, across all levels of the organization Strong understanding of product research methodologies and data analysis to create meaningful insights that inform your decision making Ability to develop a platform design vision that drives innovation and consistent design across all products and platform Fluency in responsive design, mobile/tablet UX patterns Understanding of accessibility requirements Leadership ability in design process and workflows, mentoring others around good design and ensuring functionality, usability and consistency for UX excellence Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves Excellent verbal and written communication skills; formal presentation skills and a commitment to collaborate with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds We believe each member of our team deserves to see a path forward to achieving their career and financial goals. Each team member is required to have a career plan in place and reviewed with their manager after six months with our team. The starting pay range for this role is $150,000 per annum with 10% MBO.
