Natron Energy is Hiring a Director of Program Management Near Holland, MI

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Program Management/PMO. In this role, you will report to the Chief Operations Officer and be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of all programs and projects within our organization. You will lead a team of program managers and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management practices and ensure the successful delivery of our key initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex programs, implementing best practices in project management, and driving organizational change.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Program Management Office (PMO), aligning program and project objectives with the organization's goals and priorities.
  • Program Governance: Establish and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure effective oversight and control of all programs and projects.
  • Business Operating System: Define, implement, and continuously improve the business operating system (BOS) for the company, encompassing processes, procedures, and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and scalability across all functions and departments.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks proactively, implementing effective risk management strategies to minimize potential impacts on program timelines and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, department heads, and project sponsors, to ensure alignment and support for program initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of program managers and project management professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Management: Define and track program performance metrics, OKRs, and dashboards to monitor progress, identify trends, and drive accountability for results.
  • Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives related to project management practices, methodologies, and tools, ensuring effective adoption and implementation across the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, including process optimization, standardization of project management practices, and adoption of industry best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, project management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in program management, project management, or PMO leadership roles, preferably in a complex organizational environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required or ability to obtain certification in the first year of employment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels of the organization.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Arena).
  • Experience implementing and managing PMO governance frameworks, processes, and tools to support effective project delivery.
  • Proven track record of driving organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives related to project management practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
Logistics
  • This is a regular, full-time position.
  • Employees must work on site in Holland, MI.
  • Compensation is competitive with other West MI based Director of Program Management roles
