Job Description
Delaware based real estate Owner/Developer seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager. Must possess a very strong work ethic. Computer and basic bookkeeping skills required. Works under general supervision of Property Manager. Job requires contact with the public. Must possess a professional attitude and appearance. Bi-lingual preferred. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to tenants’ concerns, issues, and complaints, in a professional manner by phone or in person.
· Maintain accurate and detailed daily customer notes as calls or walk-ins occur.
- Be familiar and able to act on issues related to Landlord/Tenant Code.
- Comply with all Fair Housing and Regulatory requirements.
· Collect and post rental payments.
· Perform clerical work, such as typing documents, printing, copying, scanning, and filing.
· Familiarize yourself with current inventory. Show available rental homes.
· Assist with the application and screening process for prospective tenant applications and lease signings.
· Communicate with maintenance staff - issue and follow up on service orders and task asked of maintenance.
· Maintain sub-contractor’s packets.
· Maintain current updated customer files.
· Be professional always.
· Additional duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Be professional always.
- Possess excellent coordination abilities and time management skills.
- Organized, assertive and confident.
- Ability to follow oral and written instruction.
- Working knowledge of basic office procedures, computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work alone and take initiatives as issues occur.
- Able to learn and master property management software system.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a criminal background screening.
- Bi-lingual a plus.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma required.
Previous Assistant Management experience preferred.
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, occasional nights and weekends as required.
