NATECH is recruiting an Application and Software developer to support the FAA National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) program. This is an exciting opportunity for talented individuals to contribute to the transformation of the Nation’s aviation system in which air traffic will move safely, swiftly, efficiently, and seamlessly around the globe.

Seeking a talented and experienced Software and Application Developer to join our Configuration Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for software systems development, including software design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging for software enhancements, new software-intensive systems, and products. Additionally, the candidate will be required to analyze software requirements and develop software tools for infrastructure and platform development and maintenance, refactor/redesign legacy applications, and develop new applications for use in the FAA Cloud Services (FCS).

Responsibilities:

Designs and develops methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured, diverse sources including “big data” sources. Ability to create automated solutions to review text and survey responses which search for trends or consistencies amongst the survey responses which could be culled from the survey data to provide actionable responses and find opportunities to improve the customer’s infrastructure construction execution activities in future projects. Develops and uses advanced software programs, algorithms, querying and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate datasets and models complex business problems. Is familiar with disciplines such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Predictive modeling, Statistical Analysis and Hypothesis testing. Works with cross-discipline teams in order to ensure connectivity between various databases and systems. Identifies meaningful insights and interprets and communicates findings and recommendations. May develop information tools, algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance. Maintains awareness of emerging analytics and big-data technologies. 

• Develop software systems and programs using Power BI, Python or PHP (e.g., Python, PHP ASP.NET, ColdFusion) for software enhancements, new systems, and products.
• Utilize HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL databases for system development.
• Work closely with a high-energy development team to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs.
• Develop Dashboards and Reports using Power BI to meet customer business needs.
• Provide consultation and suggest best approaches for the development of new applications.
• Responsible for Data Collection Tool Setup, Maintenance and Administration 
• Responsible to data mine information from FAA databases to determine trends and seek 
• Responsible for Ensure Data Collection/Reporting Validity 
• Responsible to Conduct Analysis of textual data
• Responsible to assist with Annual sample criteria development 
• Responsible for Lessons Learned, Trend and Root Cause analysis
• Responsible to compare the results of Quality Review Point (QRP) assessments across project type
• Responsible for Statistical Analysis
• Responsible for Develop and Distribute Reports (Monthly, Quarterly & Annual) (Program & Senior Level)
• Responsible for (Monthly, Quarterly & Annual) Rollup Reporting of Results and Recommendation to Senior Leadership 
• Responsible for (Monthly, Quarterly & Annual) Lessons Learned Collection/Distribution Tool Setup and Administration

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Requires a BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. 
• Must possess excellent oral and written with proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
• Must be a proactive, flexible, team player and adjust to multiple tasking.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, self-motivation and follow-up.
• Must have superior communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to develop software systems and programs using Python or PHP (e.g., Python, PHP ASP.NET, ColdFusion) for software enhancements, new systems, and products.
• Ability to utilize HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL databases for system development.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and data management tools.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Familiarity with server Security Audit.
• System Admin experience on Windows Servers.
• Expertise in ColdFusion.
• Knowledge of aviation Infrastructure including Airport Traffic Control Towers (ATCTs), Terminal Radar Approach Controls (TRACONs), Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCCs).
• Knowledge of new construction processes and the ability to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiencies of these processes and how they relate to the quality of the completed building(s).
