POSITION SUMMARY:

The Benefits Administrator is a crucial role in managing the employee benefits programs within our organization. They will be responsible for administering various benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our employees receive comprehensive and competitive benefits packages while complying with all relevant regulations and company policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Benefits Administration: Manage all aspects of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental and vision plans, retirement plans, life insurance, disability benefits, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Enrollment and Eligibility: Oversee the enrollment process for new hires, including providing information, and ensuring timely enrollment in benefits programs. Maintain accurate records of employee eligibility and coverage status.
  • Communication and Education: Work with broker on communications regarding benefits programs, including plan details, updates, and changes. Provide guidance and support to employees regarding their benefits options, answering inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with benefit plan providers, brokers, and other vendors to ensure smooth administration of benefits programs. Coordinate the resolution of any issues or discrepancies with vendors as needed.
  • Compliance: Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends related to employee benefits. Assist broker with preparation and filing of necessary reports and disclosures as required by law.
  • Data Management: Utilize PayCom or other HRIS systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefits elections, coverage status, and related information.
  • Employee Support: Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking assistance with benefits-related inquiries or issues. Provide guidance and support to employees navigating their benefits options during life events such as marriage, birth/adoption, or retirement.
  • Open Enrollment: Assist in the development plan and coordination of annual open enrollment periods, assist brokers with conducting meetings or presentations, and assisting employees with benefits elections and changes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall employee experience with benefits administration. Collaborate with HR Operations Manager, broker, team members, and other stakeholders to implement improvements.
  • Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations for all benefit plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Prior experience in benefits administration required.
  • Prior experience with PayCom is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing employee benefits.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to employees at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Customer service mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional support to employees.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

NARA NW is fully committed to supporting sobriety.
