Renaissance Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is a 123-bed long and short term care facility. Located in the University City area, Renaissance has beautifully renovated it’s resident’s rooms and common area.We are looking for an experienced Director of Maintenance to manage and oversee our maintenance department. 

Purpose of this position

The purpose of this position is to develop and implement facility maintenance policies and procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner to safely meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

Qualifications

·2 years of nursing home experience preferred

·Demonstrates competence in leadership, tactful interpersonal communication and problem solving.

·Is familiar with Federal and State Long Term Care regulations and requirements.

·Must have the ability to function independently, exhibit flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, families and support agencies.

Position Description

·Develop and implement maintenance systems to meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

·Determine the personnel requirements for the maintenance department and make recommendations for sufficient staff to implement maintenance policies and procedures.

·Develop and implement a monitoring system for the maintenance department and make recommendations for implementation to assure compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

·Supervise the entire operation of the maintenance department.

·Order or requisition supplies to operate the maintenance department.

·Performs other duties as assigned.
