Job Overview:
The Accounting Generalist reports to the CFO and Vice President, Administration and will be responsible for balance sheet reconciliation, assisting in the processing of general accounts payables, and other month end closing activities.

Duties include but are not limited to, preparing the reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts, processing of accounts payables transactions and vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals and coding and entry into accounting system. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for reconciliation of monthly credit card statements.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

• Review accounts payable check runs to ensure timely payment while managing cash outflows with inflows.
• Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals and coding are obtained and accurate entry into accounting system.
• Prepare accurate monthly reports for the purchasing cycle.
• Reconcile, coding and entry of the monthly organization’s Corporate Credit Card statements.
• Prepare Year End 1099 information and process 1099’s.

Cash/Revenue

• Record monthly bank and merchant charges to the general ledger
• Prepare monthly cash bank account reconciliations to the General Ledger.
• Prepare and review monthly invoice and support for subcontracts.

_ Payroll_

• Prepare Year End 1099 information and process 1099’s.

Other

• Serve as back up support to handle daily bank deposits and preparation of daily cash summary.
• Assist with the Year End Financial Close.
• Provide support, as needed, for the annual audit.
• Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Accounts payable: 5 years (Required)
• Microsoft Dynamics GP: 5 years (Required)
