Security Director of Operations Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance security operations throughout each region
- Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing guidance
- Collaborate closely with clients to assess their unique security requirements and tailor customized solutions
- Foster strong partnerships with local law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and relevant stakeholders
- Continuously assess security risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies
- Supervise the implementation of security protocols and procedures, ensuring strict compliance
- Deliver timely and precise reports to senior management on security operations, incidents, and emerging trends
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements to continually elevate our services
Ideal candidate's qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field (a Master's degree is preferred)
- A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in private security, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and cultivate a high-performing team
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with a relentless focus on customer satisfaction
- Profound knowledge of security principles, protocols, and best practices
- Proficiency in utilizing security-related technologies and software
- Possession of relevant security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) is a valuable asset
- Familiarity with the regulatory landscape and local laws governing security operations in Florida
