Job Summary

Member of NAMCO team responsible for analysis of and buy/sell recommendations on investment offerings of middle market Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), private credit structured transactions and esoteric ABS. Responsible for portfolio surveillance and portfolio management of existing portfolio. Generate value added investment recommendations for portfolio.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Head of Structured Investments Group for sourcing and underwriting new investments.
• Monitor existing investment holdings by performing regular financial and qualitative reviews to detect changes in credit quality in order to minimize losses.
• Work closely with the Structured Credit lead manager and portfolio management group so that investment commitments meet portfolio requirements/guidelines.
• Support in managing troubled and watch list assets and recommending sales as appropriate to reduce possible losses.
• Present transactions to Investment Review Committee.
• Work closely with internal and external legal counsel to document commitments and related maintenance documents.
• Ensure that all investment commitments are within established investment guidelines.
• Generate investment trade ideas for Structured Credit
• Meet all internal and external reporting requirements as mandated by management.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as required by management.
• Must maintain appropriate attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience in structured securities, particularly CLOs, private credit and other ABS
• Confidence in making buy/sell recommendations with logical support and documentation
• Bachelor or master’s degree in business administration preferred. CFA designation a plus
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
• Proficient with computer software programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
• Proficient in transaction monitoring/modeling systems including Intex and others
• Comfortable dealing with people with a wide range of backgrounds (ie. From sophisticated CEOs, CFOs at due diligence meetings to relatively unsophisticated staff members)

The compensation for this position falls within the following range: $75,000-$105,000.
