Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Support students in developing literacy and numeracy skills
- Provide individualized attention and support to students who may require additional assistance
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Assist with classroom organization and preparation of materials
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development and education principles
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
