Lil Scholars Learning Academy is Hiring an Infant Teacher Near Gainesville, FL

Overview:
We are seeking a nurturing and experienced Preschool Infant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with infants, providing a safe and stimulating environment conducive to their early development. The Preschool Infant Teacher will play a vital role in fostering a love for learning, promoting social and emotional growth, and ensuring the well-being of each child in our care.

Responsibilities:

  • Care and Supervision: Provide attentive and compassionate care to infants aged 6 weeks to 18 months, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Daily Routine: Establish and maintain a consistent daily routine including feeding, diapering, napping, and playtime activities, tailored to each child's individual needs.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum to support infants' cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Stimulation and Engagement: Engage infants in stimulating activities such as sensory exploration, music and movement, story time, and creative play to promote their curiosity and development.
  • Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents, providing updates on their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns or milestones reached.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive environment for children and families.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices, safe sleep guidelines, and emergency procedures.
  • Observation and Assessment: Observe and assess each child's development and progress, documenting milestones and any concerns to share with parents and administrators.
  • Parent Involvement: Encourage and facilitate parent involvement in their child's learning and development through open communication, family events, and parent education opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; or CDA
  • Department of Children and Families 45-hour mandated childcare training and literacy training
  • Previous experience working with infants in a childcare or early childhood education setting.
  • Strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with infants and young children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the needs of a dynamic preschool environment.

Additional Information:

  • Position Type: Full-time or Part-time
  • Hours: Monday - Friday: 6:30AM - 5:30PM
  • Location: 3520 NW 13th Street, Gainesville, FL 32609
  • Compensation: $12-$13 starting (negotiable)
