Job Description Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager with extensive experience in the public sector to oversee and manage complex projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful program delivery within governmental organizations. The Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating various stakeholders, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities:
Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing and nurturing relationships, understanding their needs and expectations, and ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of consulting projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. Utilize project management tools and methodologies to monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure smooth project execution.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage project teams, facilitating collaboration among team members and ensuring the optimal utilization of resources.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of deliverables meets both client expectations and our high standards. Implement quality control processes and conduct regular project reviews.
Problem Solving: Act as a key problem solver, addressing any project or client issues that arise, and making strategic decisions to navigate challenges effectively.
Reporting and Communication: Provide regular project updates to both clients and internal stakeholders, maintaining transparency and open lines of communication throughout the project life cycle.
Business Development Support: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities and contribute to the preparation of proposals and pitches.
Knowledge Management: Facilitate the sharing of best practices, lessons learned, and industry insights across the organization to foster continuous improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Program Manager in the public sector, managing large-scale projects and initiatives.
In-depth knowledge of government processes, policies, and regulations.
Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
Experience with public procurement processes and contract management is highly desirable.
