Myriad360 is Hiring a Remote Director, Architecture and Engineering (Remote)

Who You Are:

You are an experienced network and security professional with a strong background in cloud technologies and project leadership. You have a track record of delivering results in these domains and foster a culture of continuous improvement and resilience within your teams.

You excel at effectively extracting, documenting, and disseminating tacit knowledge and have built robust teams capable of managing failures. Your strong relationship-building skills extend to subcontractors and internal teams.

Possessing relevant industry certifications such as JNCIS, JNCIE, CCNP, CISSP, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect gives you a competitive edge. With exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, you are the ideal candidate for this role.

About The Role:

As the Director of Architecture and Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing architecture and engineering in compute/storage/cloud/networking and security domains within our Professional Services organization that designs, implements, and maintains solutions for our customer base of enterprise and service provider clients globally.

This role involves maturing individuals and team dynamics while building client relationships. In this role, you will ensure meticulous execution of projects and initiatives while drawing on your architectural expertise. While primarily focused on consultation, your responsibilities may occasionally extend to sales engineering or technical project management.

This is an ideal opportunity for a talented technical generalist with strong business acumen and leadership ability. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Professional Services.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Translate technical context between business and technical disciplines across a spectrum of technologies.
  • Oversee and ensure the successful execution of projects, aligning with timelines and quality standards while maintaining efficiency.
  • Maintain and drive effective relationships with clients in an executive sponsor capacity.
  • Engage deeply with clients to understand their needs and provide strategic, tailored IT solutions.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations, working alongside our sales and marketing teams to identify and secure business opportunities.
  • Lead the technical design and development of client-specific innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to align our solutions with customer needs and expectations.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, offering insights into the effectiveness and success of engineering efforts.
  • Maintain a working understanding of cutting-edge technologies in cloud, networking, and security.
  • Offer technical expertise to the sales and marketing team for the development of client-focused proposals.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance our profile and generate new business leads.
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with vendors and technology providers to expand our solutions and services portfolio.
  • Promote and embody a culture of servant leadership, emphasizing empowerment, knowledge sharing, and accountability.
  • Implement strategies to harness tacit knowledge within the team, transforming it into documented best practices and insights.
  • Create a resilient team environment where failure is a learning experience, fostering training and risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and the project management team for cohesive collaboration and project alignment.
  • Foster a transparent decision-making culture, advocating for open communication and collective problem-solving.
  • Manage diverse team performance levels to ensure a harmonious and efficient work environment.
  • Complete ongoing security awareness training and comply with company policies to the requirements section.
  • Identify and escalate security risks to the appropriate Executive Leadership Team member and actively contribute to remediation efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in network, security, and cloud technologies, underscored by successful project leadership.
  • Proven skills in servant leadership, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and resilience.
  • Aptitude for extracting, documenting, and disseminating tacit knowledge within a technical team.
  • Experience in building robust teams capable of managing failures and setbacks effectively.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., JNCIS, JNCIE, CCNP, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
