Rio Valley Biofuels is hiring a Human Resources Manager to lead the HR team supporting our site.
As a trusted business partner, the HR Manager will drive results and support business objectives by partnering with leadership of the facility. This is an on-site role.
- The ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of the unique challenges in the oil and gas industry.
- Must live within 60 miles of Las Cruces, NM or El Paso, TX.
- Full time, in-person opportunity.
- Solid understanding and experience in Human Resources. 10 years preferred.
- Responsible for providing day-to-day Human Resources support and pro-active partnering with Recruiting leadership to drive business-driven hiring.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Review all employee disciplinary situations, working with management to ensure fair and appropriate action is being taken. Make recommendations as needed and utilize persuasive techniques to educate on action plans.
- Review all voluntary resignations, handle exit interviews, track/analyze exit interview data, and work with management as needed to respond to trends.
- Participate in employee investigations, terminations, and resolve employee questions and concerns as a trusted and credible partner.
- Coach and lead the Human Resources team in pursuit of organizational goals, setting direction, priorities, and creating metrics to drive the business.
- Foster strong relationships with business partners and HR peers to facilitate successful staffing, decreased attrition, and increased site performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Required).
- 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience (Strongly Preferred).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced knowledge of Excel (Preferred).
- Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance issues. Oil/Gas knowledge (Preferred).
- Knowledge of DOT Rules and Regulations (Preferred).
- Ability to understand business operations from a strategic and tactical perspective.
