Job Description:
The Human Resources Manager is a valued member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Executive HR Director. As a trusted business partner, the HR Manager will drive results and support business objectives.
  • The ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of the unique challenges in the oil and gas industry.
  • Must live within 25 miles of Las Cruces, NM or El Paso, TX.
  • Full time, in-person opportunity.
  • Solid understanding and experience in Human Resources. 10 years preferred.
NEW MEXICO’S FIRST – Rio Valley Biofuels, LLC was the first commercial producer of biodiesel in the Southwest. We distribute biodiesel as well as diesel fuels and gasoline in Texas, New Mexico, and the surrounding states. Our feedstocks include a large variety of lipid oil sources including used cooking oil, crude cottonseed, tallow, sunflower, canola, soy, and a number of others.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing day-to-day support regarding Human Resources and Recruiting.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Review all employee disciplinary situations, working with management to ensure fair and appropriate action is being taken. Make recommendations as needed and utilize persuasive techniques to educate on action plans.
  • Review all voluntary resignations, handle exit interviews, track/analyze exit interview data, and work with management as needed to respond to trends in exit data.
  • Participate in employee investigations, terminations, and resolve employee questions and concerns as a trusted and credible partner.
  • Coaches and leads the Human Resources team in pursuit of organizational goals, setting direction, priorities, and metrics to drive the business.
  • Fosters strong relationships with business partners and HR peers to facilitate successful staffing, decreased attrition, and increased site performance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Knowledge of DOT Rules and Regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand business operations from a strategic and tactical perspective.
