Job Opportunity: Accounting Manager
Location: Kalamazoo, MI

Compensation: $90-110k per year
Schedule: Full-time position, Monday to Friday. Hybrid work model with 2-3 days per week onsite (varies).

Are you an experienced Accounting Manager looking for a fulfilling role in the senior living sector? Join our client's team as an Accounting Manager and play a pivotal role in managing their financial operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management: Handle financials for investors and assist in reporting processes.

2. Budgeting: Collaborate closely in budgeting processes and ensure adherence to budgets throughout financial activities.

3. GAAP Compliance: Possess a deep understanding of GAAP, chart of accounts, and proper coding and billing procedures.

4. Financial Reporting: Utilize software for automated reports, with the ability to manipulate them as necessary.

5. Month-End Close: Oversee month-end activities, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and journal entries.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including month-end activities, reporting, and journal entries.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and the ability to make adjusting entries.
• Experience leading a department or team in the past
• Able to take initiative

Plus:

• Background in healthcare accounting.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Experience with Sage 50 or NetSuite preferred.
