Job Summary

The Regulatory & Environmental Advisor - Gulf of Mexico will be responsible for providing offshore permitting and compliance support to Operations. This position will work closely with Operations, Drilling and Completions, Projects, Production Engineering, and Lane to ensure compliant operations in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

The Regulatory & Environmental Advisor - Gulf of Mexico will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remote.

Responsibilities

* SME on development plan submittals - EP's, DOCD's, etc.,

* Prepare, submit, and obtain necessary pipeline permits for both installation and decommissioning of offshore pipelines

* Prepare correspondence, documents and regulatory permits and forms for various jurisdictional agencies

* Coordinate with company engineering, drilling, and operations throughout the lifecycle of a development project

* Interface with company personnel, consultants, and agency representatives to ensure timely processing of the required documents so that company objectives and agency requirements are met

* Experience with drilling reports during and after drilling activities (EORs, WARs, etc.)

* Extensive interfacing with federal, state, and local agencies to maintain regulatory compliance

* Working directly with Regulators to answer questions and facilitate solutions

Qualifications/Requirements

* High School diploma or equivalent

* Minimum 15 years' experience working in Gulf of Mexico regulatory plans and permitting

* Knowledge of BSEE and BOEM permitting requirements, including experience preparing and making regulatory submittals

* Knowledge of making TIMS Web submittals and/or preparing Gulf of Mexico permits

* Strong communication, interpersonal, administrative, organizational, and leadership skills
