GET TO KNOW THE ROLE

The Executive Assistant supports executive Information Technology leadership and champions departmental correspondence, budgetary and fiscal duties, special department related projects, and management and oversight of day-to-day services and administrative support activities for department leadership. This position is a key player in team leadership meetings to drive effective follow-up to key actions/projects and drive department initiatives. To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, requests, and priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, show flexibility to change direction when needed, and commit to a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Be the face of MCR for internal team members and external stakeholders; exemplify MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
  • Uphold the highest degree of confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgement when handling all confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information; ensure information is in appropriate possession or always secured in an authorized location.
  • Serve as a key player supporting the department leadership team to drive effective follow-up to key actions/projects and drive department initiatives.
  • Foster a positive environment by working with managers and team members to address team member relations through open communication and accessibility.
  • Proactively manage leadership calendars with attention to accuracy, detail, and allocation of time to promote productivity; recognizing the need to re-prioritize as appropriate.
  • Proactively manage, track and triage telecommunication and correspondence for department leadership.
  • Oversee day-to-day services and administrative support activities for department leadership; anticipate challenges and plan accordingly ahead of need; monitors the team member experience in all department functional areas to ensure alignment with leadership expectations.
  • Manage and ensure proper maintenance of departmental team member files and records; take personal accountability to ensure the confidentiality of all team member relations, documents, and correspondence is upheld.
  • Manage department procurement processes and assists with budgetary/fiscal planning.
  • Prepare and handle various internal and external correspondence, including department team member communications.
  • Understand priorities and proactively look for ways to improve processes to create efficiency and scale for the leadership team.
  • Track and drive completion of key department deliverables and follow-up on outstanding items.
  • Build relationships and work collaboratively other departments, leadership, and the executive team.
  • Organize and plan a variety of activities, including but not limited to, meetings/conferences, schedules, special functions, and travel.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies, practices, and procedures to include, but not limited to; Guest Service/Hospitality Standards, Human Resources Processes/Procedures, Coaching, Budgeting and Purchasing.
  • Promote and participate in tribal development programs.
  • Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive a safe work environment; promote positive team member relations and report issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Three (3) years of experience supporting an executive level position; experience within hospitality, gaming, or tourism a plus!
  • One (1) year of Information Technology experience a plus!

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Availability – Ability to work different shifts, holidays, weekends, and nights to support a 24/7 operation.
  • Physical – Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
  • Environment – Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
