Our client, a $2.5 Billion Privately Held company is looking for a CAO who is hands on. This CAO is reporting to the CFO and will manage and work with members of the Accounting team, which is responsible for timely financial close and compliance with GAAP and financial reporting. The CAO will manage the day-to-day accounting processes and be a key player in operational improvements, financial statements audits, and compliance requirements as the business continues to grow. The CAO will be responsible for scaling accounting operations (documentation, processes, and systems) and assist with implementing, documenting, and testing related controls and policies.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee the management of month end close process including establishing close calendars and deadlines, and reviewing journal entries

· Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations

· Support interim and annual financial audits with our external auditors

· Works with departments external to accounting to ensure integrity of accounting controls, processes, and procedures

· Participates in integration of acquired companies

The role is over accounting, payroll and AP and A/R as well as Tax. The VP of Accounting and the Director of Accounting and the VP of Tax report into this role.

Qualifications

· Certified Public Accountant

· Extensive supervisory experience in an Accounting Leadership position for 5-10 years.

M&A and Integration experience is a preferred.
