MRA Recruiting Services is Hiring a Remote VP, Content Marketing

Job Title: VP, Content MarketingCompany: Leff CommunicationsLocation: Remote – US only Salary Range: $195,000-$235,000/yearDescriptionYou will serve as a content marketing expert, leading and doing hands-on work involving strategy, planning, research, and creating and distributing best-in-class content. This role has three main workstreams: client work, internal marketing strategy and oversight, and business development. You will lead and manage the content marketing team and work with leadership on overarching strategy initiatives and our constant goal of innovating how and what we do. Essential Responsibilities
  • Working directly with clients on various large- and small-scale content initiatives and formats, with a fair amount of ambiguity and creative problem-solving. Establish their marketing goals, develop action plans to achieve them, oversee and develop high-quality content, and measure success. In this role, you will provide strategic counsel and act as a leadership extension of their team.
  • Developing and expanding relationships with existing and new clients by providing a superior client experience and output, pitching new offerings, and proactively marketing our capabilities.
  • Leading a team of content creators and marketers and collaborating with other department leaders to better define how we work together and build the business
  • Helping guide our marketing collateral and other efforts, including:
    • Writing for our insights page as well as undertaking activities to elevate your profile, whether in bylines, speaking engagements, or other areas
    • Overseeing our overall content marketing strategy, including setting goals and overseeing the work of colleagues
  • Helping build new capabilities in the department, both through learning and development and hiring
  • Staying up to date with content marketing best practices, incorporating innovative ideas into the content strategy, and sharing knowledge and experience with others across the team
  • Managing the content marketing budget, efficiently using resources to achieve maximum impact.
  • Contributing to company strategy as part of the leadership team; tasks include setting priorities, identifying new opportunities, and evaluating potential investments.
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
  • 10 years of proven experience in content marketing, content creation, strategy, or a related role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to rapidly absorb clients’ ideas, value propositions, and goals, no matter how complex, and translate them into actionable strategies
  • Knowledge of and keen interest in business and cultural trends, all marketing channels, and all formats.
  • Experience in successful business development and pitching to clients
  • A data-driven mindset, including the ability to develop a narrative from data and make recommendations based on analysis
  • Creative thinking and comfort with ambiguity, fast turns, and iteration
  • A collaborative, kind, entrepreneurial spirit, and desire to innovate, develop new products and services, and support and lead growth initiatives.

However, some US travel may be required – approximately 10%. May occasionally require some weekend or evening hours.
