Ultra Tool & Manufacturing, Inc. is hiring for a Tool and Die Maker!

General Purpose of Job: This position reports to the Tooling Department Manager and is responsible for managing and assembling tooling projects.

Minimum level of education/training required: This position requires the successful completion of 4 years of high school, or equivalency, as well as successful completion of a state indentured tool and die apprenticeship program, or six or more years served as a non-indentured tool and die maker working on stamping dies.

Minimum experience required: This position requires 3 to 5 years of experience building progressive tooling preferably in a metal stamping environment. Advanced math skills, basic computer skills, ability to read technical drawings and ability to communicate are required.

License or certificate required: Journeyman Card in Tool and Die.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manages assigned tooling project to meet quality and delivery expectations of the Customer

• Assembles tooling, ensuring machined components are to specification and process used will meet scheduled completion date

• Actively participate in Pre-Build Meeting to determine most efficient manufacturing process

• Troubleshoot tooling from die tryout to PPAP completion

• Demonstrate safe work habits

• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles

Marginal Job Functions:

• Machine components using standard processes to required tolerances and completion dates

• Train/mentor apprentices
